
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated, energetic people to join our team. We teach lessons to all ages and abilities in a unique environment of warm-water pools using visual feedback.
Preferred skills:

Love of children and desire to teach

Previous swimming experience, such as teaching swim lessons, coaching swim team, or competitive swimming. Experience is not required, but is a plus!

Must be able to pass CPR and First Aid certifications

Willingness to learn and execute the Paige’s Swim Academy teaching method

Job duties:

Teaching lessons to all ages and abilities, including private lessons, and may include competitive lessons, depending on skill level and previous experience

Teaching the Paige’s Swim Academy progression

Moderate maintenance work on pools and facility

Communicate regularly with children and adults

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour depending on experience and performance

10% compensation for each referral
Swim School Teaching:

7 days a week

9am-9pm daily
Position Qualifications and Requirements:

Previous swim instruction experience is requested, but not required

Must be over the age of 16. If over the age of 18, must be able to pass a background check

Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED or must be able to pass CPR and First Aid Certification

Special consideration is given to instructors with experience teaching children aged 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs

Training in the Paige’s Swim Academy curriculum will be provided

Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds in weight

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able to work a consistent weekly schedule planned up to 5 months in advance
Duties & Responsibilities:

The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance to PSA’s curriculum in a fun, positive manner.

Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and parents on their swimming efforts.

Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills.

Ensure swimmer safety.
-
Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start and end times.
-
Required to maintain proper PSA’s uniform standards.
